“Step inside, friend — the porch light’s always on.”

🪶 About Cowboy’s Country Emporium

Miss Emily and I run a little country store located right off Highway 276, between Emory, Texas and Tawakoni, Texas.

Our store’s name is: “Cowboy’s Country Emporium.”

🌾 How It All Began

I’d like to take a moment to share a bit about Miss Emily and me. We’ve been married for 31 beautiful years — and yes, I’ll admit it, I robbed the cradle! There’s a 21‑year age difference between us, but she’s my best friend and my soul mate.

Around here, folks call me Cowboy Dan, mostly because of the way I dress. We love to laugh, have fun, and lend a helping hand whenever we can. Our community once came to our aid without us even asking, and that kindness left a lasting mark on us.

We’re blessed with wonderful neighbors, and that spirit of helping one another is exactly why we run our store the way we do.

🤝 The Heart Behind What We Do

When I was a boy, I remember how neighbors looked out for each other. When a new family moved in, everyone pitched in — the women cooked meals, the men helped carry furniture, and even the kids found ways to lend a hand.

If someone fell ill or couldn’t manage their chores, neighbors stepped up without hesitation. That’s the kind of community we believe in — one built on kindness, respect, and helping hands.

That’s the heart of Cowboy’s Country Emporium — a place where folks still care about each other, just like the old days.

🤠 Cowboy Danny

I’m Cowboy Danny, proud owner of Cowboy’s Country Emporium, a little country store nestled along Highway 276, between Emory and Tawakoni, Texas.

I’ve always believed a store should be more than a place to buy things — it ought to feel like home. Folks around here know me by my hat and my handshake, and they

know Miss Emily and I run our Emporium with heart.

We’ve been married for 28 beautiful years, and she’s my best friend, my partner, and my soul mate. Together, we built this store on the same values I grew up with — neighbor helping neighbor, community before profit, and kindness without asking for anything in return.

When I was a boy, I remember how neighbors came together whenever someone needed help. The women cooked, the men lifted, and the kids pitched in however they could. That spirit stuck with me, and it’s the reason Cowboy’s Country Emporium operates the way it does today.

So when you stop by, you’re not just visiting a store — you’re stepping into a piece of Texas hospitality, where the coffee’s hot, the stories are real, and everyone’s treated like family.

🤠 Meet the Folks Behind the Counter

Howdy, folks! ’Round these parts, me and the missus run this outfit together — side by side like a matched pair of trail horses. We ain’t hired hands or passin’ drifters; we’re the bonafide owners of this Old‑West‑style mercantile, partners in life and business since the day we first hitched our wagons together.

Our little crew is always rarin’ to help you rustle up some genuine happiness and find that peaceful waterhole on your journey. Nothin’ warms our hearts more than watchin’ a greenhorn turn into a seasoned trail rider with a grin wider than the Texas sky.

So whether you’re learnin’ the ropes, lookin’ for a friendly word, or just needin’ a place where folks still treat you like family, Cowboy Danny and Miss Emily are standin’ by with the whole gang, ready to lend a helpin’ hand.

That’s our promise — as sure as a rooster crowin’ at dawn.

🤠 Danny Rhoades

Cowboy Danny Founder of Rhoades Well Traveled Ministries and Cowboy’s Country Emporium

That ol’ cowboy’s been ridin’ the long trail for a spell now — not just through dust and wind, but through life’s lessons that only the Good Lord can teach. He’s traded campfire stories for words of encouragement, and saddle sores for the steady work of servin’ others.

These days, you’ll find Cowboy Danny at the Emporium, where every shelf and every donation tells a story of faith, kindness, and community. It ain’t just a thrift store — it’s a place where folks find hope, where neighbors lend a hand, and where the spirit of the frontier meets the heart of ministry.

He’s the kind of man who believes that helpin’ others ain’t a chore — it’s a calling. Whether it’s prayin’ with someone who’s down on their luck or passin’ along a warm coat to a stranger, Cowboy Danny’s mission is simple: to share God’s love the way a cowboy shares his campfire — freely and with a smile.

When Cowboy Danny speaks, folks listen — not because he’s boastin’, but because he’s lived it. Every word carries the dust of the trail and the grace of the Gospel.

🌹 Emily C. Rhoades

Miss Emily Co‑Founder of Rhoades Well Traveled Ministries and Cowboy’s Country Emporium

That gal’s got a heart warmer than a fresh‑baked pie on a Sunday afternoon. Miss Emily is the steady hand and gentle spirit behind the Emporium — the one who turns every donated item into a blessing and every visitor into a friend.

She’s the kind of woman who sees ministry not just in words, but in deeds. Whether she’s sorting through boxes of donations or offering a kind smile to someone who’s fallen on hard times, she’s living out the Gospel one act of kindness at a time.

Folks say she’s got the touch of a prairie rose — soft but strong, blooming wherever she’s planted. Under her care, the Emporium has become more than a thrift store; it’s a place of hope, laughter, and second chances.

When Miss Emily speaks, people listen — not because she’s loud, but because her words carry the quiet strength of faith and the warmth of someone who truly cares. She reminds everyone who walks through those doors that grace is free, love is abundant, and there’s always room at the table for one more.
